Jim Williams and World-Wide Comedy have been producing monthly stand-up comedy shows in English for 4 years, entertaining both foreigners living in Poland as well as English speaking Polish locals. Having created vibrant comedy cultures in both Wroclaw and Krakow, Jim Williams and World-Wide Comedy are coming to Lodz in the hopes of doing the same for the English speaking community!
The evening will start with an open-mic hosted by Ukrainian comedian Sviat Marinated, where anyone can get on stage for 5 minutes and tell jokes. Space will be limited, so if you're interested, send a message to World-Wide Comedy via our fanpage. BONUS: All open-mic performers get one free beer from the bar!
Following the open-mic, Jim Williams will perform his award winning comedy act that has delighted audiences all across Poland, as well as in Czech an Austria.
About the performers:
Sviat Marinated has been a part of the Wroclaw stand-up comedy scene since 2015 and has been a host, MC, and a strong feature act at stand-up comedy shows around Poland. He has been performing in English, Ukrainian and Polish at various events, including the Multi-cultural Festival in Wroclaw.
Jim Williams is the founder of World-Wide Comedy, and is known as The Godfather of stand-up comedy in English in Wroclaw. A performer for nearly 20 years, Jim has toured the US and Europe as a mime, actor, clown, physical comedian and even starred in a music video for Polish rock group Trzynasta w Samo Poludnie. He has lived in Poland for 9 years. His physical comedy act Liquidmime has won top awards at Poland's comedy festivals and made several television appearances. Jim also appeared on Mam Talent as Liquidmime, making his way to the semi-finals. As a stand-up comedian, Jim performs in both Polish and English. His first show, "I'm Gonna' Mowic Popolsku" won several awards at Polish comedy festivals, and he appeared on Dzieki Bogu Juz Weekend and Tylko Dla Doroslych.
